OUR BEGINNINGS
I wanted to create something truly special. A place that was private, exciting, luxurious in experience but affordable in price. In New York there really only existed two extremes for massage treatments and facials; the 'cheap and cheerful' basement haunts in Greenwich Village where hygiene doesn't feel prioritized and licensed therapists are scarce, or $400 treatments at an upscale hotel you left feeling 'had' for having spent a small fortune. In between, there are many millennial cookie-cutter fronts with little to offer in the way of inspiration or satisfaction or experience. My favorite ritual in my week is getting a foot massage and massage. Spencer's is my ode to quality, experience, service, aesthetic and convenience. I am committed to qualities that have seemingly vanished from the view of the modern day consumer.

OUR SPACE
At Spencer's we don't want you to feel as you would in any other 'spa'. Designed in partnership with Charlotte Taylor Studios and EBBA Architects London, our space is an arena for design and aesthetic. With Japanese Ryokan and Italian resort influences, we have created a sanctuary filled with textures, shapes and sensations all intended to soothe our customers with heightened sensations of relaxation and comfort. Our space should feel like an extension of your favorite room, in your favorite place. We welcome you to take respite here, feel inspired, rejuvenated and restored.

We are wholeheartedly committed to offering the highest of quality in our service, treatments and products. We believe in an offering that is unique which is why each Spencer’s treatment may be customized for the specific needs of our discerning clientele. We have built a thoughtful wellness program centered around regular treatments with maximum impact at the lowest relative cost. We believe that in a world forever asking for ‘more’ and giving ‘less’, our community craves those establishments who want to give ‘more’ and ask ‘less’. You will dream of Spencer’s for the same reason you dream about your favourite hotel, your favourite restaurant, or your favourite vacation. OUR CLIENTELE
We build for the diversity of our communities. We believe people of all demographics should have access to a healthy routine in wellness. Our clientele are people who are self aware & conscientious, currently underserved for optionality when it comes to massage & facial treatment offerings. Our audiences are looking for clean, hygienic, comfortable, safe, design-forward spaces and experiences to enjoy. We position ourselves as an over delivery in all of these key areas, while being at a price point that is affordable. Our clientele are repeat customers, returning at least once a month for their scheduled appointments, often with friends and family. Our audience is male and female, from 18 years and above, with disposable income and a budget for wellness practices in their monthly routine. We market to the trend-forward, with the belief that our services are within a ‘premium’ category but ‘everyday’ price. We want our guests to feel at home when they visit us, like an extension of their favorite living room.

We are not the venue for ‘hardcore’ services that require ‘out of the ordinary’ scheduling. We do not offer invasive facial techniques with long recovery times. We do not offer highly specific and intensive physiotherapy or chiropractic treatments. The efficacy of our services is well rooted in our programs and our offering focuses more on the value of great products, better service, and an ‘escape’ like no other.
